Marrakech has been honored by hosting the first edition of Gitex Africa last May 2023, the largest technology and digital economy trade show in Africa, with over 30,000 visitors and attendees, 900 exhibitors and start-ups, 250 investors, 250 speakers and 30 minister delegations.

This big technology exhibition that took place from May 31 to June 02 in Marrakech, was able to attract thousands of technology enthusiasts from over 120 countries, what made this first inaugural edition truly global.

After this great success, Gitex Africa will be back in the fascinating and extremely beautiful city of Marrakech for a second edition starting from May 29^th 2024.

The trade show has been specially designed to enable start-ups from all over Africa to showcase their innovations and to bring more investors, business partners and entrepreneurs with the aim of creating more business opportunities for the African continent and citizens.

Gitex Africa is a great business opportunity for African start-up owners, especially young programmers, to connect with regional and global investors and to build strong relationships with public and private sector companies.

This flagship event, which illustrates the Kingdom’s culture, history and ongoing dynamism, will represent also a great opportunity for Moroccan start-ups to improve their skills in new technologies and creative innovations.

After Gitex Global which has been held in Dubai for over 40 years, Gitex Africa aims to be an international high-tech platform for all players in Africa, especially when the majority of African economies are undergoing a tangible digital transformation, as evidenced by the sharp rise (4.5 times more) in investment in start-ups between 2018 and 2022.

Gitex Africa is a unique platform for exchanging views on the main opportunities for making the African continent both a consumer and a producer of digital technologies, which requires encouraging innovation skills and potential investment opportunities.
